LYON.
Zlatan's penalties usually means goal.
So also tonight, with the difference that he needed two attempts.
The second one was flawless and PSG drew 1-1 against Lyon.
– The first penalty kick was difficult because the wind got the ball rolling just as I stepped up to it. That made me uncertain. The second penalty was easier as the ball was still, Zlatan said after the game.
The early Ligue 1-"final" had a dramatic outcome. PSG was the better team, created more chances and Zlatan was almost his great self with several chances and eventually a goal. After two attempts. In the 69th minute, when Lyon had the lead 1-0, he took a penalty, and goalkeeper Lopes saved. But... the referee blew the whistle, Lyon-players had ran into the area too soon, Zlatan was gonna have another try. This time he made no mistake and scored. The game ended 1-1.
BIG MOMENTS IN THE BEGINNING
PSG had two big chances in the very first 15 minutes. First, Zlatan scored in the 7th minute, but was offside... And then only three minutes later, the ball was given to Ibra by a Lyon-player. Zlatan challenged the Lyon-defense, dribbled, gave space to Cavani and passed the Uruguayan who shot with hos left. But he was too close to goalkeeper Lopes, who saved with his hands. In between, Lyon hit the post so it was an intense opening.
PSG-CHANCES WITHOUT RESULT
And PSG looked pretty inspired and more dangerous than in the last few games. In the 22th minute, they got a corner. Cavani touched Mottas corner with his head and the ball came to David Luiz only a meter from the goalline but the Brazilian shockingly headed the ball wide.
WHICH OPENED UP FOR LYON
Lyon didn't create too many chances until the 31st minute. When they did, they scored. After a beautifully arranged attack, the ball eventually went to Njie who made no mistakes and scored the game's first goal, 1-0 to Lyon. After the goal PSG had the ball alot but didn't create any real chances and the halftime result was 1-0.
ZLATAN-HEADERS
PSG started the second as attacking as the first. And after only a couple of minutes, Maxwell crossed the ball from the left, aiming for Zlatan who headed the ball nicely on goal but keeper Lopes made a great save. And four minutes later, identical scenario. Great cross by Maxwell, great header by Ibra, great save by Lopes. Still 1-0, but PSG was getting closer.
ZLATAN-GOAL AFTER TWO PENALTIES
In the 66th PSG got their chance. Verratti got the ball in Lyon's penalty area, was tackled down illegally = penalty for PSG! Zlatan took it, and missed! BUT... Lyon-players had ran too soon in to the penalty area, so the penalty had to be taken again. This time Zlatan was much safer and put the ball very hard into the top left corner. 1-1, Zlatan!
PSG CLOSEST TO THE WIN
After 1-1 the game became quite uncertain. Both teams wanted to win but PSG controlled the game. They tried to create chances but with no real result. The game ended 1-1 and judging on the game's chances Lyon should be happy about it, but since Zlatan missed the first penalty and they were down 1-0 PSG is probably still pretty happy about the draw.
Already in the 7th minute we all jumped up and cheered, Zlatan scored 1-0 beautifully! Nope, wait a second, the linesman waived his flag, Zlatan was offside. It could have been a perfect start but still, it gave Zlatan a good response so early in the game.
After an offside and an almost-assist in the first halft, Zlatan came out striking in the second. In the 50th minute Maxwell found Zlatan in the box but the header was saved by Lopes. And 4 minutes later, the same thing happened. Great cross, great header by Ibra, great save by Lopes. Still 1-0, but PSG was getting closer.

The duel tonight between PSG and Lyon really was the top-match everyone hoped for. Both teams showed their strengths and had to split the points in the end. What are your thoughts about tonight's match?
You had many clear chances to score on Lyon, but when it wasn't offside that put a stop to your offensive it was a Portuguese wall named Anthony Lopes. Bad finishes, a heroic performance by the Lyon keeper, or just bad luck – why weren't there more PSG goals tonight
Your first attempt from the penalty spot was saved but annulled as the Lyon players ran into the penalty area too early. Instead you got a second chance and placed the ball in the keeper's top right corner. How did the do-over affect you – and that your first attempt was saved?
Leaving Stade de Gerland, are you happy with one point?
