AMSTERDAM.
Neither Zlatan nor PSG managed to kill off the game and let Ajax back, making it 1-1. Zlatan had a couple of shots on goal, but wasn't able to score.
– We should have won considering the chances we got. Apart from that, I felt quite good out on the pitch today, Zlatan said after the game.
It was at Amsterdam Arena Zlatan started his Champions League-adventure back in 2002/2003 and when he came back with Juventus 2004/05 they won 1-0 and in Milan in 2010/11 he scored but the result was 1-1, also then.
SEMI-ASSIST TO CAVANI
It started like it was supposed to for PSG. In the 14th minute Lucas stole the ball from the Ajax defenders, passed Zlatan who got a golden opportunity to score his 42nd CL-goal but the shot was blocked and went to Cavani, who scored in an open goal, 1-0.
UNEFFICIENT PSG
PSG should probably have made it 2-0 and possibly kill off the game already in the first half , but this just wasn't the night of great effenciency for PSG. Zlatan had a freekick on goal in first and a couple of nice passing combinations but it wasn't a half up to Zlatan's level.
FREEKICK CHOCK
The longer the game went, the more Ajax worked their way into it. They were more aggressive and had more ball and PSG didn't manage to control the game the same way as in the first half. In the 74th minute Schöne scored a nice free kick goal making it 1-1 and PSG didn't manage to come back, that was the end result.
14' - 0-1. Edinson Cavani, PSG.
74' - 1-1. Schöne, Ajax.

You leave Amsterdam and this season's first Champions League match with one point. Are you satisfied with the result, your performance and how the match developed?
Until the equalizer from Ajax, it felt like you were in control of the match and one size larger than your opponent, but after the goal you let Ajax back in the game. Was that the feeling on the pitch as well?
You still haven't lost a competition match this year, but three of the four last matches have ended with a draw. Why do you think it has been so difficult to seal the games lately?
Last season, Ajax won 13 of their 17 home games and this was your third 1-1 match against Ajax since you left the club in 2004. How come Ajax is so hard to beat on their home ground?
