LONDON.
PSG are through to the Champions League quarterfinal.
Despite Zlatan being sent off Paris fought bravely and beat Chelsea on away goals after 120 intense, passionate minutes of football.
– I'm happy and pissed, Zlatan said after the game.
In last season's clash between Chelsea and PSG on Stamford Bridge Zlatan had to watch from the stands due to an injury. This time he was fit and ready but he only got to play 30 minutes. In the 31st minute he was sent off after a tackle on Oscar. It was definitely a yellow card, but most people seemed to agree that yellow should be enough.
With only 10 men and having to score, the odds were against PSG. But after a brave, magical effort the Parisiens managed to turn the game around and eventually stand proudly on Stamford Bridge as winners, moving on to the Quarterfinal.
TWO LATE GOALS - DAVID LUIZ RESCUED PSG
The game was goalless in 80 minutes when Cahill scored for Chelsea, a goal that most people probably thought was the nail in the coffin. But only minutes later, in 86th (!) minute, the man of the match David Luiz scored a beautiful header. That meant 1-1 and extra time.
THIAGO SILVA MINDLESS IN THE PENALTY AREA
Already in the 6th extra time-minute Chelsea got a penalty. Thiago Silva inexplicably jumped after the ball with his hand straight up. The ball hit his hand and referee Kuipers had no choice but to point at the penalty spot. Hazard made no mistake and placed the ball safely in the net for 2-1.
SILVA REVENGE
But Thiago Silva was not gonna let the handball be his last impact in this game. In the 114th minute, only six minutes before the end, Motta's corner found Silva who won the header duel over both Terry and Cahill in the penalty area. He got a perfect hit, the ball went over Courtois and into the goal. 2-2 and PSG were through with more away goals scored. What an effort! Ici c'est Paris!
Zlatan played 30 minutes and before he was shown the red card, he didn't really have time to do much. A couple of header duels and passes, that's it.
No, the red card was the only Zlatan-memory from this game.
In the 31st minute, a 50/50-situation appeared when the ball landed between him and Oscar. Both threw themselves after the ball with feet first but Oscar was first to the ball, so Zlatan fouled the Brazilian. Possibly a freekick, perhaps a yellow card, but most people in social media and experts agreed that due to the fact that Zlatan pulled in his legs just before he hit Oscar, and that he clearly went for the ball, the referee should have spared him the red card.

86' - 1-1. David Luiz, PSG.
