PARIS.
Status quo after round one.
We go to England with 2-2 after a weird game at Parc des Princes. Zlatan had luck and scored one but missed a penalty and should have scored another goal.
In six days he plays one of the most important games of his career.
– Too many mistakes from our part, Zlatan said after the game.
Laurent Blanc had Aurier on the pitch again but not Verratti. PSG wasn't as thorough in the passing as they use to, Zlatan missed a penalty and weird goals were scored.
MISSED PENALTY BY IBRA
The crowd yelled for penalty when Matuidi went down in the 7th minute, but no call from the referee. Eight minutes later Sagna fouled Luiz in the penalty area and this time he called it. Zlatan stepped up, hit it low to his left, but Hart made a good save. Zlatan had two more great chances, but didn't manage to score.
ZLATAN WITH IMPORTANT EQUALIZER
Instead Man City counterattacked in the 38th minute and shocked Parc des Princes. PSG sloppily threw away the ball in the middle, Fernandinho gave the ball to De Bruyne who scored. 0-1 to Manchester City. But Zlatan got the last word in the first half. Man City made a huge mistake, Joe Hart passed a goal kick to Fernando who waited too long before releasing the ball, Zlatan got his foot in the way and the ball went into the open net. 1-1, very important goal for PSG. Halftime.
RABIOT GAVE PSG THE LEAD
PSG came out firing immediately after the break. And in the 60th minute they took the lead. A corner was headed by Edinson Cavani and found Rabiot who placed it into an open net. 2-1, PSG had turned it around. And they completely took over the game. Attack after attack, owning the game.
MAN CITY LUCKY
But just like in the first half Man City shocked everybody. After a half-attack Aurier tried to clear the ball but hit Thiago Silva and Fernandinho showed up and shot (via Silva's leg) 2-2. That calmed down PSG's hunt for the third goal and they never came there. The game ended 2-2, and everything is far away from set before the return in Manchester next week.
Started the game and got a golden opportunity in the 14th minute. Penalty. Hit it low to his left but Joe Hart read him and made a good save. Just a minute later he headed the ball on goal but couldn't get enough power behind it and Hart saved again.
In the 24th minute he got another golden chance. Motta struck a perfect through ball to Ibra who got open with Hart - looked up - and tried to place it in the top left corner, but got too much foot under the ball and it went a meter over and wide.
Just before halftime he scored!!! In a weird way. Hart calmly passed a goal kick to Fernando, who waited too long with the ball and Zlatan took a chance. He got his foot in the way of Fernando's pass and ball rolled into Hart's net. Ibra-goal for the 5th straight game in Champions League.
He had another amazing chance in the second half. In the 63rd he came incredibly close. After fighting down Sagna on the far post he headed Di Maria's cross on the crossbar. In the rest of the second he struggled a bit more and had no more attempts.
