LORIENT.
In some games the goals scored is all that matters.
This was one of those games.
Zlatan stepped up when his team needed him and PSG are through to another final.
– Moved up with the ball, passed one, and fooled the keeper, Zlatan said after the game.
On Saturday Paris play their third concecutive League Cup final and tonight they made their way to the French Cup final as well which means they now have the chance to win the treble for the second concecutive year. Zlatan made it happen.
GOALLESS FIRST HALF
The first half was quite eventless with PSG passing, passing and passing some more. Lorient defended well, Paris lacked urgency in their movement so very few chances were created. Zlatan had a few attempts off target in the end, but it was 0-0 at halftime.
GAMEWINNER: IBRA
The second kept going in the same manner. PSG obviously lacked the extra needed motivation to truly take control of the game and halfway into the second it was still 0-0. Then Zlatan (who else?) stepped up and gave PSG the lead in the 75th minute. A nice one-two-dribble in the middle and a beautifully placed right wrist shot. Lorient pushed for an equalizer but PSG kept the clean sheet, won 0-1 and are through to the final.
Started the game. Came down deep for some short passing combinations and was not involved in any chances until the end of the first half. Then he fired away three attempts off target and you could see him working himself into the game.
Not much happened for Ibra in the second. He got a yellow card in the 64th minute after showing some frustration.
Goals are what matters, especially when the team doesn't perform their best and in the 75th minute Ibra did what the team expect's from him. He got the ball from Di Maria in the center, outside Lorient's box, advanced towards goal, dribbled a defender with a nice one-two and finished with a beautifully placed right wrist shot.
That was the only real highlight of the game and what more do you need?
Zlatan scored his 42nd goal of the season (new career record) and shot PSG to the Coupe de France final.

The semifinal away against Lorient in the French Cup ended 0-1 and PSG is through to the Cup final. Your immediate thoughts after the match?
Lorient played well and managed to keep it close the whole match. They should have had a penalty in the first half, and in the second Sirigu had to make some tough saves. But in the 75th minute Europe's foremost scorer struck again and decided the match. Tell us about the goal
Artificial turf is pretty unusual for you, but at the same time it should suit PSG's passplay. Do you think the pitch affected your game in any way today?
