AJACCIO.
To be honest Zlatan didn't do much in tonight's game. Until the very end.
Then he scored his 45th goal of the season and PSG beat their own record for number of points during a Ligue 1-season, 92.
Edinson Cavani scored a hattrick.
– A dull match where one team didn't seem willing to play, Zlatan said after the game.
Nothing to play for and only 4000 in the stands. PSG looked a bit uninspired but an efficient Cavani + a last minute-goal by Ibra helped PSG to win 4-0 against Ajaccio and go up to 92 points so far in Ligue 1 with two more games to play.
DI MARIA PASSED ZLATAN IN THE ASSIST-TABLE
The first half was played in a quite slow tempo with PSG completely controlling the action. Di Maria struck a great cross to Cavani in the 13th minute and PSG's number 9 nicely headed in his 17th league goal of the season, 0-1 to PSG. The assist was Di Maria's 14th in Ligue 1 this season, which meant he passed Zlatan in the assist table (Zlatan on 13). PSG created a few chances but not too many, Ajaccio's focus was defending. 0-1 to PSG at halftime.
HATTRICK BY CAVANI
PSG started the second half with more passion and urgency. In the 49th minute di Maria once again crossed to Cavani, who skillfullly took down the ball with his thigh, passed a defender in the box and placed the ball underneath Maury in Ajaccio's goal. 0-2. Nine minutes later Cavani completed his hattrick on a header similar to the first goal. Kurzawa hit the perfect assist-cross. 0-3.
ZLATAN'S 35TH LEAGUE GOAL
It looked like it was gonna end 0-3 but Zlatan also wanted to get on the goalscoring sheet. Maxwell found him with a through ball in the very last minute and Zlatan did what he does best, place the ball next to the goalkeeper into the goal. Zlatan's 35th Ligue 1-goal meant 0-4, which was the end result.
Started the game. Was not completely invisible in the first half but wasn't involved in any major situations. Came down and helped with PSG's build-up play but did not fire any shots towards goal and to be frank Zlatan, as most PSG-players, did not look superinterested in this game.
Was more alert in the second, at least in the beginning. Got an excellent opportunity after a few minutes but missed the ball on Cavani's cross. Could have gotten a penalty but didn't and had a few halfchances in the first fifteen minutes but no goals.
The rest of the half looked like the first for Ibra, no attempts. Until the very last minute when he got open with Maury after a nice ball from Maxwell. He looked up and placed the ball next to the keeper close to the right post. Zlatan's 35th league goal of the season and 45th goal total.
The record for number of Ligue 1-goals in one season by a PSG-player is 37, scored by Carlos Bianchi in 1977/78. Ibra needs to score three more goals in the two remaining games to beat it.
