United's unbeaten run for 17 games has ended, Hull won 2-1 tonight.
But who really cares, when Zlatan and Mourinho advanced to their first final in their new club after winning 3-2 on aggregate.
Now awaits Southampton on Wembley in February.
Manchester United played poorly and looked like they were gonna lose all three points away at Stoke after Mata scored an own goal in the first half. But then from nowhere Wayne Rooney stepped up and scored a beautiful freekick in stoppage time, which made hime the lone top goalscorer of all time in Manchester United.
Manchester United played poorly and being 0-1 down it looked like Liverpool were gonna take the important three points. But as long as you have Zlatan there is always hope and in the 84th minute he saved United by heading the ball in the back of the net and the game ended 1-1.
- Valencia put in a good cross, I just stayed there and tried to hit the goal, Zlatan says about his goal after the game.
Zlatan was voted 'Manchester United Player of the Month' in December and now he has also been considered to be the best in the entire league in the same month.
Yesterday he was presented the 'EA Sports FIFA Player of the Month'-award, commonly called the 'Premier League Player of the Month'-award.

MATA SCORED THE OPENER IN THE SECOND HALF
Except for Zlatan (ill), Rojo (injured) and Carrick (rested) Mourinho basically played his first team (Martial on the bench though). Many expected an "easy" game for United like against Reading but Hull, with newly appointed manager Marcos Silva, put up a good fight in the first half and it was 0-0 at halftime. In the 56th minute Mkhitaryan won a header duel in the box and the ball went to Mata, who tappied it in the open net. 1-0 to Manchester United.
FELLAINI GAVE UNITED A NICE POSITION FOR THE RETURN
Mourinho replaced goalscorer Mata with Marouane Fellaini in the 79th minute and with three minutes left he paid his manager back. Darmian crossed into the box and Fellaini strongly lobheaded the ball over Jakupovic. 2-0 to Manchester United.
Manchester United won 2-0 which was their 9th straight win in all competitions. The second semifinal is played in Hull on January 26.

ROONEY TIED THE GOALSCORING RECORD
Mourinho rotated the squad quite substantially, resting Zlatan, Pogba, Herrera and De Gea. Rooney started behind Rashford up front and in the seventh minute Rooney scored his 249th goal for Manchester United, tying the all time goalscoring record with Bobby Charlton. 1-0 to Man Utd.
MARTIAL EXTENDING THE LEAD
Many thought Reading, who are currently third in the Championship, would put on a tough challenge. But in the first fifteen minutes there was only one team on the pitch. United came in attack after attack and in the 15th minute Anthony Martial scored a nice goal. Wayne Rooney set him up and he placed the ball nicely in the corner, 2-0 to Man Utd. Rashford could have scored a third goal but it was 2-0 at halftime.
TWO GOALS FROM RASHFORD
Marcus Rashford missed quite a few opportunites both in the first half in the second but he kept being dangerous and in the end he scored not only once, but twice. In the 75th minute Carrick found him with an excellent through ball and he placed the ball decisively into the back of the net, 3-0. And then four minutes later, Reading's goalie Al-Habsi made a complete mess of a back pass and Rashford tapped in 4-0.
Zlatan didn't have to play today and Manchester United easily advanced to the 4th round in the FA Cup.
